White Desert supports the Antarctic community providing logistical support to National Antarctic Programmes as well as non-governmental research and science programmes, including support for projects which support the positive communication of Antarctic science to a non-scientific audience.

Support for over seven of the National Antarctic Programmes has grown and we currently transport a 50% ratio of tourism and science, delivering personnel, scientific equipment and supplies. Wherever possible, we ensure logistics are provided through shared routes or return journeys, helping to reduce fuel demand (and therefore carbon) associated with stand alone journeys.

We supported the historic #Endurance22 expedition providing living support, safety and on ice survival assistance for the team who successfully located Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ice ship in March 2022.
