PO & CREDITORS CLERK ROLE BASED IN CAPE TOWN

The PO and Creditors Clerk will be responsible for processing all PO’s received from cross-functional business units, during season in a timely and accurate manner.

THE ROLE

  • Generate purchase orders accurately and efficiently in accordance with company procedures in Approval Max.
  • Create Bill and match to relevant purchase order
  • Generate daily and weekly reports of outstanding purchase orders not billed.
  • Generate daily and weekly reports of outstanding purchase orders that are not GRNed.
  • Coding of the purchase orders to appropriate ledger accounts
  • Electronic filing of supplier’s bills
  • Ensures the accuracy of the details on suppliers bills to comply with VAT requirements.
  • Ensures that the approval authority is in according with purchasing policies
  • Maintenance of supplier database on Xero

 

THE PERSON, REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • High level of professionalism
  • Very high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Computer proficiency – Xero and Approval Max (Advantage, and candidates with experience in these software packages will take preference)
  • Computer literacy – MS Office Suite (intermediate)
  • 4 years of relevant Creditors Clerk experience
  • 2 years hands-on experience in processing Purchase Orders
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high stress situations
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Fluent in English
