Elevate your adventure with this once annual opportunity to stay in both of our luxury Antarctica camps in one exhilarating 8-day itinerary
Visit the Geographic South Pole, explore crystal ice caves and meditate in a glass wellness dome looking out at a frozen oasis.
Come together on what feels like another planet - all without sacrificing the luxury standard of travel you prefer.
Travel in Antarctica is full of logistical challenges, and staying on the ice in one location is difficult enough. Just once a year to close off the Antarctica travel season, we are offering just 24 guests the chance to stay in both of our state-of-the-art luxury Antarctic eco camps in one single itinerary.
As mentioned, this happens just once a year and is in great demand - don’t miss out on this rare offer to visit the world’s most remote and pristine location and stay in two breathtaking locations.
If these dates don’t suit you but you are still interested in a trip to Antarctica, we encourage you to contact our team to discuss your requirements.

“The expression "once in a lifetime experience" is overused, yet entirely appropriate when describing a trip to Antarctica with White Desert. The guides are all accomplished mountaineers and explorers who successfully create a sense of adventure while ensuring everyone’s safety. You leave the great Southern land with a deep sense of connection and a determination to return.”
Mr & Mrs Shreeve, Australia
A journey to this remotest of lands is the ultimate change in perspective - one of both solitude and connection.
Disengage from the ordinary and leave forever changed, with a deepened appreciation for the earth, your place in it, and the beings you share it with.
You’ll never have seen anything like Antarctica’s glaciers, snowy plains and mountain ranges. For this itinerary, we are including an epic scenic flight through the spires of the Wolf’s Fang mountain range.
Excitement and awe for people of all fitness levels. Our UIGM-rated mountain and activity guides take you safely into the heart of Antarctica, amid glaciers, over snow fields, into blue ice caves or up peaks for spectacular views. End the day sipping cocktails made with thousands of years old ice.
A visit to the 7th Continent might be epic, but with White Desert, it is far from uncomfortable. Enjoy luxury camps with world-class amenities, staff, chefs and sommeliers. Season temperatures average around -5°C/23°F which is about the same as winter in Connecticut or the Alps.
Antarctica's travel season only runs in the southern hemisphere summer, from November to February, and our limited spaces fill up quickly. Don’t miss out on your chance to visit this remote continent without sacrificing the well-refined style you prefer.
“Five star experience on the edge of the world wonderful hospitality with a personal touch. Breathtaking vistas of otherworldly views.”
Mr Brooksbank, UK
White Desert operates the only runway for private aircraft in Antarctica, flying guests 5 hours from Cape Town right onto the ice of the 7th Continent.
With this option, you’ll spend nights on land where very few others have slept as there are only three operators with land camps in Antarctica. You’ll wake up to what feels like a completely different white planet.
To preserve this feeling of solitude, our camps only have
accommodation for 12 guests at a time.
You’ll avoid seasickness and have significantly more time for activities that you could only really immerse yourself in while you are staying on land.
Places are limited as trips to Antarctica are possible from November to February only. This Best of Both itinerary is only available for the final week of the 2024/2025 season. Don’t miss out.
The most common way is by sea, usually from South America via cruise ship or yacht charter—Ushuaia is a popular departure point.
White Desert does not offer sea voyages to Antarctica. The oceans can be rough, with passengers via the Drake’s Passage especially reporting seas that cause seasickness even in normally strong-stomached travellers.
While some of these charters offer short expeditions onto the ice, accommodation is on the boat, so you’ll wake to views of Antarctica’s ocean and sometimes coastline rather than its landscapes.
Avoid all this by flying in and staying on the ice!
“This trip has been unbelievable from the very first moment! The magnificence of Antarctic nature, the comfort and attention to detail by White Desert staff, and the incredible group of guests from all over the World add up to an unforgettable experience. Thank you for all the logistic efforts and all the small lovely gifts I found on my bed every day. And thank you for making my dream come true!”
