Professor Steven Chown, Director of Monash University's Securing Antarctica’s Environmental Future, is a globally renowned Antarctic scientist with 40+ years of field experience. Former President of the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research, he has published over 500 papers and advises Antarctic Treaty nations on environmental change, biodiversity conservation and science policy.

Cleo Abram is an Emmy-nominated science journalist and host of Huge If True — known for exploring innovations with transformative potential. With a background at Vox and Netflix’s Explained, she explores breakthroughs shaping our future. In 2026, she will co-lead White Desert’s Science Week, bringing compelling science storytelling to Antarctica.
